Hope everyone is going to head over to the Taste of Lincoln Avenue this July 29 & 30th. The main festival features fantastic live music, great food, and of course adult beverages. There is also a Kid’s Carnival to keep the younger festival goers entertained. The Taste is a major source of funds for Wrightwood Neighbors which is distributed back to local neighborhood parks, schools, and improvement projects.

Park District Sends Project Manager
July 21, 2006 · Leave a Comment
Hi, Everyone! Just wanted to share the news that we met with a Project Manager from the park district’s planning department. We presented the renovation goals that the Landscaping Committee developed and there were some other good ideas discussed as well. We are not sure when they will produce preliminary renderings for us, but hopefully in a few months. This is still very exciting, because we are definitely on the CPD’s radar in an active way! The finance committee will start working on the fundraising action plan (part of the process of partnering with the Parkways Foundation, who will be our Fiscal Agent), with this fall being our kick-off point. Anyone who has encountered good fundraisers, please send me an email with your ideas! We want to consider all avenues.
Thanks, everyone, and we hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer!

July Concert in the Park
July 21, 2006 · Leave a Comment
We will hold our concert on July 28th (posters and flyers to be distributed this week). The event will feature the Parlour Fones and start at 6:30PM. Visit the Chicago Park District website for more information on the July concert.
Our next concert event will be postponed until September (rather than in August) due to the many August events being held in other parks. If you do not receive a flyer with the details be sure to contact us.
